Introduction

Picture of BCDR StationmasterWelcome!

From 1850 to 1950 the Belfast and County Down Railway had a station at Dundonald, County Down, Northern Ireland. Today few traces remain of what was once a busy station.  Dundonald has now been enveloped by Greater Belfast and road traffic is worse than ever.

Take a step back in time to when Dundonald was a rural village and the station was in its heyday and a traveller could get to Belfast in comfort in only 15 minutes by train.
